Derek Simon is the Office Manager and a Professional Engineer at MLS Engineering. He joined the company in 2019. Derek graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and began his career in the industry that same year. He became professionally licensed in 2015 and holds PE licenses in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Derek enjoys spending quality time with his family, including his wife, Ashley, who is a Registered Nurse, and their two children, Everett and Meredith. He is actively involved in his children's lives through coaching their sports teams. In his personal time, Derek also enjoys woodworking and tackling home renovation projects. Derek and his family are members of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Huntington, Indiana. His expertise as a Professional Engineer and his dedication to managing the office make him a valuable asset to MLS Engineering.
